Espresso Shirley Temple


1 ounce grenadine, or more to taste

6 ounces cold lemon-lime soda

2 shots freshly made espresso

3 maraschino cherries for garnish

Ice, as needed


  1. Pour in enough ice to fill a 12-ounce highball glass.
  2. Pour the grenadine over the ice into the bottom of the glass.
  3. Carefully pour in the lemon-lime soda to create a layered look.
  4. Slowly pour the hot espresso over the lemon-lime soda to create a third layer.
  5. Top with the maraschino cherries and serve.  Enjoy!
